But What About Second Book?

Here's a super common question that some would say they get asked a lot (but I don't). We've had the first book, now where's number two?

I am so glad you asked. Many moons ago, when I was under the impression that I'd already finished Rise of the Old Gods and was ready for something different, I had it in my head that I was ready and able to get book number two started. So I spent numerous months carefully planning every single little detail, ending up with a total of 56 forecasted chapters to write something so epic that it would eat ROTOG for breakfast.

Now, some may say "No no no, big no no. You shouldn't release a book that's almost double the length of the first one". And to that I said...

But then, of course, the rewrite time came along and the first book was taken down, revamped with a whole cool new lore and then finally republished on this very month (in four days, go save it and be ready to order it!).

Unfortunately, that meant when it finally came time to get started on book number two... oh no. Lore change, story change, everything change. Thankfully, I'd only gotten around three chapters into actually writing this thing by the time ROTOG was finished.

So, to answer the second book question, yes, Maleos Part 2 is on the way! So far I am nine chapters into a story that still follows the same basic lines as the original plan, but with plenty of changes in between. And, as I promised myself all those years ago, this book will be much less based on the world introduction and epic scope and much more on the characters and their development. Hopefully this book will also bring our first little mini-war between two factions and whoever you may think the antagonist is for this one, be sure that each time you will be wrong!
